The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos rents villas at the Westin St John Resort on St. John in the US Virgin Islands, and our local team answers questions from travelers in Colorado before you book your milestone celebration.

Colorado travelers often plan milestone celebrations around the mountains, but a trip to St. John offers something a little different. Here the scenery is warm water, shaded paths, and a slower pace that lets a special occasion feel like the main event. Villa rentals at the Westin St John Resort give your group space to gather, cook, and celebrate without rushing from one plan to the next. Many visitors from Colorado arrive from a dry, high-altitude climate and find the island air soft and humid. Plan for light clothing and a relaxed rhythm. A villa rental also means you can keep your own schedule, whether that means a quiet morning on the deck or a long dinner that stretches past sunset. Our local team can talk through what fits your group before you commit.

Planning Your Celebration from Colorado

  1. Reaching the Island. Most visitors from Colorado fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT. From there, a taxi will take you to Red Hook, where you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Pack light, keep your documents handy, and allow yourself some unhurried time between legs of the journey. Many travelers find the ferry ride is the first moment they truly feel the vacation begin.
  2. Choosing Your Timing. Think about the season of your milestone before you pick dates. Colorado winters are cold, so many families from there choose the island months when a warm escape feels most welcome. Consider what matters most to your group, such as calm seas, a quieter shoulder period, or a date that lines up with the people you want to celebrate with. Our team can help you weigh those choices so the timing suits the occasion.
  3. Planning Your Stay. Villas are rented by the week, which suits a celebration well, since there is room to settle in and let the days unfold. Decide early how many guests you expect, what meals you want to plan, and whether you want a private chef, rental car, or simple time at the pool. Driving on St. John is on the left, so take a moment before you drive. Good planning up front leaves more room for the celebration itself.

Frequently asked questions

Is a villa rental a good choice for a milestone celebration?

For many groups it is. A villa gives everyone private space, a kitchen for shared meals, and room to gather for toasts or quiet conversation. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort let you celebrate on your own terms rather than fitting into a crowded hotel schedule.
