The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos is a local team that helps travelers from Arvada, Colorado, plan a long-awaited island stay at the Westin St John Resort, and they answer your questions before you book.
For many people in Arvada, a trip to the Virgin Islands has been a idea saved for a someday that keeps getting pushed back. Planning a splurge like this takes patience, and it is worth giving yourself room to compare what matters most to you. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort offer a private, settled way to spend a week, with space to unpack and slow down. Colorado winters are long and dry, and a stretch of warm Caribbean water can feel like a complete change of pace. You may want a quiet morning on a private terrace rather than a crowded itinerary. St John Condos can talk through how a villa compares with other options, so your splurge matches the trip you actually imagined.

Planning from Arvada
- Reaching the island. Most visitors from Arvada fly into St. Thomas, which is the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From Red Hook you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Allow yourself a relaxed pace on travel day, and plan for the ferry schedule once your flights are settled. Keep in mind that driving on St. John is on the left side of the road, so think about whether you want a rental car at all.
- Choosing your season. Colorado residents often choose the islands during the cold months at home, when a warm week feels most welcome. The islands stay warm year round, so the real question is what kind of weather and crowd level suits you. Think about school calendars, work commitments, and how much breathing room you want. Once you have a rough window in mind, ask the St John Condos team what availability looks like.
- Planning your stay. Villas at the Westin St John Resort are rented by the week, which suits a long-planned trip well. Decide who is coming, how much you want to cook versus dine out, and whether you want a private pool or a view. Write down the things you have been dreaming about, and bring that list when you talk with St John Condos. A short conversation before booking can save you from surprises later.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to fly to St. Thomas from Arvada?
Most travelers from Arvada do fly into St. Thomas, the airport code STT, because it is the usual gateway to St. John. From there you take a taxi to Red Hook and the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. St John Condos can explain how this works for your situation before you commit to any plans.
Is a villa rental worth it for a special trip?
For many people planning a big trip, a villa offers more room, privacy, and a kitchen than a standard hotel room. It is rented by the week, so it suits a settled, unhurried stay. The St John Condos team can help you weigh Villa Rentals against your budget and your travel style.
