The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos helps travelers from Genesee plan a shared trip to St John, rents villas at the Westin St John Resort by the week, and answers questions before you book.
A trip for three generations asks a lot of one itinerary. Grandparents want rest, parents want a little adventure with the kids, and the children want to be in the water as much as possible. From Genesee, the trip to St John starts in the Mountain West and involves a long day of travel, so it helps to think about the group as one unit from the start. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort give you separate bedrooms, a shared living space, and room for everyone to spread out and come together on their own schedule. The islands have a warm, steady climate that suits mixed ages well, though the sun is stronger than many visitors expect, so shade and hats matter for the youngest and oldest members. Plan quiet mornings, a long midday break, and an easy evening meal at the villa. Driving on St John is on the left, and that is worth discussing with the adults before anyone takes the wheel. Our team can talk through these details with you before you commit.

Getting your Genesee group to St John
- Start with the flight. Most visitors reach St John by flying to St. Thomas, the STT airport, then taking a taxi to Red Hook and the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. Ask your group who needs an aisle seat, who can manage a connection, and who would prefer the simplest route. Sharing these needs early keeps the travel day calm for grandparents and young children alike.
- Pick the right season. Colorado winters are cold, so many families from Genesee find the islands especially welcome in the colder months at home. Consider school calendars, grandparents' health needs, and how much heat your group can comfortably handle. Warm weather is part of the appeal, but a shoulder period can suit a multigenerational group better than the busiest weeks.
- Plan the stay together. Villa Rentals work well for three generations because each family can keep its own routines while sharing meals and beach time. Decide early who is cooking, who is handling the rental car, and which days are open for independent outings. Reach out to St John Condos with your group's size and needs, and we will help you match the villa layout to your plans.
