The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos helps travelers from Acres Green, Colorado, plan a week away with friends at the Westin St John Resort, with villas rented by the week and a local team that answers questions before you book.
A week with friends on St. John can feel like a shared exhale. For travelers from Acres Green, Colorado, the trip often starts far from the water, in a state of mountains and dry air, so the change of scenery is part of the appeal. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort give your group room to spread out, cook together, and keep one another company without crowding a hotel floor. Planning a group trip works best when everyone knows what to expect. Colorado sits in the interior West, and the Caribbean is a very different climate, so pack light layers for evenings and plenty of sun protection for days outdoors. Talk through who handles the shared costs, who coordinates meals, and who keeps track of the paperwork. A little structure early on keeps the week relaxed instead of tense.

Getting from Acres Green to St. John
- Reach St. Thomas first. Most visitors from Acres Green fly into St. Thomas, the island with the main airport for the region. Coordinate arrival times within your group so no one waits long at the terminal. Once everyone has landed, you will head to the next leg of the journey together, which keeps the group moving as one.
- Cross over by ferry. From St. Thomas, a taxi takes you to Red Hook, where you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Bring a light bag for each person, since carrying heavy luggage across the dock is tiring. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left, so whoever takes the wheel should plan ahead for that.
- Pick your week wisely. Think about when your group can realistically leave Colorado. Winter months in the Rockies bring snow and cold, which makes a warm Caribbean escape especially welcome for many travelers. Shoulder seasons can also suit groups who want fewer crowds. Share calendars early, and settle on dates before booking Villa Rentals so everyone can lock in time off work and school.
