The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos rents villas at the Westin St John Resort for travelers from Brandon, Colorado, who want a trip built around the beach. Our local team is glad to answer questions before you book.

For someone in Brandon, Colorado, the idea of a beach trip can feel far away, both in distance and in climate. Colorado is a landlocked western state with mountain weather, so a warm, sandy island makes a welcome change. Planning a trip like this starts with the simple goal of time spent by the water, and a villa at the Westin St John Resort can make that goal easy to keep at the center of the week. Villa Rentals give you a private base for days that are mostly unhurried. Instead of building your schedule around a hotel check-in routine, you can pick a villa, settle in, and let the beach set the pace. Our team at St John Condos can talk through what a week like that would look like before you commit, so the plan fits the way you like to travel.

Planning a beach trip from Brandon

  1. Getting to St. John. Most visitors reach St. John by flying into St. Thomas, which uses the airport code STT. From there, a taxi takes you to Red Hook, where you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. Travelers from Brandon often find this arrival sequence straightforward once they have their connections sorted, and it is worth confirming each leg with your airline before you leave home.
  2. Choosing when to go. Coming from a state with cold winters, many people from Brandon choose to visit the islands during the colder months at home, when a warm beach week feels like the best reward. The islands stay warm throughout the year, so the choice comes down to your own schedule and how crowded you want the beach to feel. Think about that before you lock in dates.
  3. Planning the stay. Villas are rented by the week, which suits a beach-focused trip well. Once you have chosen a villa at the Westin St John Resort, decide how you want your days to flow: some time on the sand, some time simply resting, and room for the occasional outing. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left, so plan your transportation with that in mind.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a car on St. John if I want to focus on the beach?

It depends on how far you plan to roam. If your main goal is time on the sand, you may find that a short trip is enough for most days. Driving on St. John is on the left, which takes some adjustment for visitors from Brandon, so think honestly about your comfort before deciding.

How do villa rentals compare with a standard hotel stay for a beach trip?

Villa Rentals give you a private home base with more room to spread out, which many families and couples prefer for a relaxed week. Villas are rented by the week, so the rhythm is slower than a short hotel stay. Our team can walk you through the differences before you book.
