The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos can help you plan a week away with friends from Alma, Colorado, to villas at the Westin St John Resort on St. John. Their local team answers questions before you book, so your group can settle the details first.

A week with friends is easiest when everyone knows what to expect before anyone packs a bag. Alma sits high in the mountains of Colorado in the West, so most people there are used to planning around weather and distance. A trip to the Caribbean asks for a different kind of planning, but the same care applies. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort give your group a place to gather, cook together, and spread out a little when you want space. Villas are rented by the week, which suits a group trip well. You can share one home rather than juggling several hotel rooms, and the shared kitchen and living areas tend to become the heart of the stay. Talk through who is covering which costs, who wants a quiet morning, and who would like to explore. St John Condos can answer those practical questions with you, so the choices feel settled before you commit.

Getting from Alma to St. John

  1. Plan the journey in stages. Most visitors reach St. John by flying into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT. From there, a taxi takes you to Red Hook, where you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. Coordinate arrivals so your group lands close together, since everyone will ride the same ferry and taxi. Keeping the route simple makes the travel day far more relaxed for everyone.
  2. Choose your departure window. Alma gets cold, snowy winters, so many friends look to leave Colorado during the colder months. The islands are warm year round, which makes almost any season pleasant for a group. Think about what your crew enjoys most, whether that means calm weather, quieter days, or a particular stretch of time off work. Agree on the window early so flights can be booked together.
  3. Set up the stay together. Before booking, decide as a group how you will split the house rules, grocery runs, and shared expenses. Ask St John Condos about the villa layout, what the rental includes, and how the Villa Rentals process works from start to finish. Share a single list of questions so nobody repeats them. A clear plan at the start leaves more time for enjoying the island once you arrive.
