The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos can answer your questions about villa stays at the Westin St John Resort before you commit, and we know that planning a long-held trip from Windsor Locks, Connecticut, takes care. Our local team is glad to talk through the details with you first.
For many people in Windsor Locks, a trip to St. John has been sitting on the calendar for years, waiting for the right moment. This kind of trip is a splurge, and it deserves thoughtful planning rather than a rushed booking. Villa rentals at the Westin St John Resort give you room to spread out, cook a little, and slow down in a way a hotel room rarely allows. Connecticut winters tend to be cold and gray, which is one reason the islands feel so appealing when you finally arrive. The warm air and steady sea breeze are common knowledge for the region, not promises we make about any single week. Taking your time to choose dates and a villa that suits your group will make the long-awaited trip feel exactly as you imagined it.

Planning your trip from Windsor Locks
- Reaching St. John. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which uses the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there, the passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a little extra room in your day for the transfers, since island travel moves at its own pace. Once you land, you can relax into the slower rhythm the islands are known for.
- Choosing your season. Connecticut's colder months make the islands especially welcome, but the timing that suits you best depends on your own schedule and comfort. Think about whether you prefer quieter weeks or livelier ones, and what you hope to do each day. Our team can talk through the general climate patterns with you so your choice feels informed rather than guessed.
- Planning your villa stay. Villas at the Westin St John Resort are rented by the week, which suits a splurge trip well. Consider how many people are traveling, what you want from kitchen and living space, and whether you plan to rent a car, keeping in mind that driving on St. John is on the left. Contact St John Condos with questions about Villa Rentals before you book, and we will help you sort out the details.
