The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos helps families from Collinsville, Connecticut, plan a villa stay at the Westin St John Resort on St. John, US Virgin Islands. Villas are rented by the week, and the local team is glad to answer questions before you book.
Collinsville sits in the northern part of Connecticut, where winters are cold and snow is a regular part of the season. For many families from this part of New England, a trip to the Caribbean is a welcome change of pace, a chance to trade heavy coats for light clothing and slow mornings by the water. St. John, in the US Virgin Islands, offers a quiet setting that suits children and grandparents alike, without the bustle of larger resort towns. Planning a family trip across this distance can feel like a lot to hold at once, especially with several ages and needs to balance. Villa rentals at the Westin St John Resort give you room to spread out, cook a meal together, and keep your own schedule. St John Condos is a local team, and we are happy to talk through the details with you before you commit to anything.

Planning a family trip from Collinsville
- Getting to St. John. Most visitors from Collinsville fly into St. Thomas, which uses the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From Red Hook, a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan for a few changes and keep the children's bags light. Once you arrive, remember that driving on St. John is on the left side of the road.
- Choosing when to travel. Connecticut winters are long and cold, so many families from Collinsville choose to leave during the colder months when the islands feel especially welcoming. Think about school calendars, work commitments, and the ages of your children. Our team can help you think through which weeks suit your family best, so you are not guessing about what fits.
- Planning the stay. Villas are rented by the week, which gives families room to settle in and let routines relax. Consider how many bedrooms you need, whether you want a kitchen for simple family meals, and how you will spread out the days between beach time and rest. Reach out to St John Condos with your questions, and we will help you plan the villa rental that works for everyone.
