The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos helps travelers from Suffield Depot, Connecticut, plan a long-saved trip to a villa at the Westin St John Resort, from the first flight decision to the last evening on the island.
Some trips are planned for years before they happen. A stay in a villa at the Westin St John Resort can be exactly that kind of trip, and for travelers leaving Suffield Depot, Connecticut, it often starts as a conversation held over a long winter. Here, the island feels far away in the best sense, and a week of quiet privacy can feel like a real reward after a long stretch of work and obligations. Because the islands sit well south of the Northeast, the contrast with home is sharp. Connecticut winters are cold and gray, and a villa on St. John offers warm water, open views, and a slower daily rhythm. Our team works with travelers who want that difference to feel deliberate, so the planning itself becomes part of the pleasure rather than a source of stress.

Planning your splurge from Suffield Depot
- Getting there from Connecticut. Most travelers from Suffield Depot fly to St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook and the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. Plan this leg with some care, since it is the part of the trip that asks the most of you. We can talk through the connection options with you so the journey feels like the opening chapter of the stay rather than an endurance test.
- Choosing when to leave. Connecticut has cold months that make the islands especially appealing, and many travelers from Suffield Depot time their departure for the depths of winter. Consider how much warmth and how much flexibility you want, and which weeks fit your work and family calendar. Tell us what matters most to you and we will help you narrow the choice before you commit to anything.
- Planning the stay itself. Villas at the Westin St John Resort are rented by the week, which suits a splurge built around rest and privacy. Decide early whether you want a car, since driving on St. John is on the left, and think about which meals you will cook and which you will leave to the resort. Our Villa Rentals team can walk you through the details so nothing important is left to chance.
