Getting to St. John from Simsbury Center
- Reaching the islands. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, using the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there, a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. It is a simple route once you know the steps, and your St John Condos contact can confirm the details that suit your travel dates and luggage before you book anything.
- Choosing your departure timing. Think about leaving Connecticut in a season that works for you. Winters can be cold and gray in the northern states, so many travelers from Simsbury Center find that a warm-weather trip feels especially welcome after a long season indoors. Consider how the timing fits your schedule, your work commitments, and any family plans, so the anticipation builds gently instead of feeling rushed.
- Planning the stay itself. Villa rentals are typically booked by the week, which gives you a rhythm that suits a longer celebration. Decide early whether you want time at the resort, time exploring the island, or a mix of both. Driving on St. John is on the left, so keep that in mind if you plan to rent a car. Ask your St John Condos team any questions about the villa before you book.
