The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos can help travelers from West Cornwall, Connecticut, plan a week of exploring the island from a villa at the Westin St John Resort. Our local team answers questions before you book, so you can settle the details first.
West Cornwall sits in the northwest corner of Connecticut, where winters are cold and the hills are quiet for much of the year. Many travelers from here are ready for a change of scenery, and a week on St. John offers warm water, bright light, and a slower pace that feels very different from home. A villa gives you room to spread out, cook a few meals, and treat the island as a place to settle into rather than a place to rush through. Because St. John is a small island, a week here rewards a loose plan. You can spend one day on the water, another walking shaded trails, and another doing nothing at all beside the pool. Villa Rentals through the Westin St John Resort give you a home base with space for everyone in your group, and our team is glad to talk through which villa suits your plans before you commit.

Planning your week from West Cornwall
- Getting to St. John. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, the airport code is STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Driving on St. John is on the left, so if you plan to rent a car, keep that in mind on your first drive. Our team can point you to the simplest option for your group.
- Choosing when to leave. Connecticut winters are cold, so many travelers from West Cornwall choose to leave in the colder months, when the islands feel especially inviting. Warmer months bring a different rhythm, with longer days and a bit more rain showers. Think about what kind of week you want, then let that guide the dates you request for your villa.
- Planning your stay. Villas at the Westin St John Resort are rented by the week, which suits a relaxed trip well. Consider how many people are coming, whether you want a kitchen for simple breakfasts, and how much time you want for the beach versus the trails. Send your questions to our local team before booking, and we will help you match the villa to the week you have in mind.
