The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos helps travelers from Brookfield Center, Connecticut, plan a winter escape from the cold, with villas at the Westin St John Resort on St. John in the US Virgin Islands and a local team ready to answer questions before you book.
Winters in Connecticut can feel long, with gray skies, short days, and temperatures that keep you indoors more than you would like. For many people in Brookfield Center, the idea of trading a heavy coat for light cotton and warm sand is a powerful pull. St. John, in the US Virgin Islands, offers exactly that kind of change of pace, with a tropical climate that stays warm through the season when the Northeast is at its coldest. A winter trip to St. John is less about chasing a checklist and more about slowing down. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort give you a private home base with room to spread out, cook a simple meal, and wake up to the sound of the water. You can ease into the rhythm of the island, letting the cold of home fade from memory one unhurried morning at a time.

Planning Your Escape from Brookfield Center
- Reaching the Island. Most visitors from Brookfield Center fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there, a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a little breathing room between flights and the ferry so the connection feels relaxed. Once you arrive, keep in mind that driving on St. John is on the left, which is worth remembering if you rent a car.
- Choosing Your Departure. Think about leaving Connecticut in the depths of winter, when the cold is most tiring and a warm break feels most welcome. Travelers often plan around school calendars and work schedules, so consider which weeks suit your household best. Reaching the islands in the middle of the season can give you the most reliable warmth and a calm, unhurried feel to your stay.
- Planning the Stay. Villas at the Westin St John Resort are rented by the week, which suits a winter escape well. Decide how you want to spend your days, whether that means quiet mornings on a terrace or active afternoons exploring. Share your plans with the St John Condos team before booking, and they will help you choose the villa that fits your group.
