The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos helps travelers from Macon County, Illinois, plan a milestone celebration on St. John, where villas at the Westin St John Resort give you a private base for marking the occasion together.
A milestone is worth marking somewhere that feels different from everyday life. For many people from Macon County, that means leaving behind the familiar Midwest routine for a few days on a Caribbean island, where the pace is slower and the setting does most of the work. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort give your group room to gather, cook a meal together, and spend time on the terrace without juggling hotel rooms. Planning a celebration across a long distance can feel like a lot to manage, especially when family members are coming from different places. St John Condos is a local team that answers questions before you book, so you can talk through guest counts, bedrooms, and what kind of gathering you have in mind. You can focus on the occasion itself while the practical details get sorted out in advance.

Planning Your Celebration from Macon County
- Getting to the island. Most visitors reach St. John by flying into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT. From there, a taxi takes you to Red Hook, and a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan for a little extra time on arrival day so the transfers feel relaxed rather than rushed, and let your group know the sequence ahead of time.
- Choosing your timing. Illinois winters are cold, so many travelers from Macon County look to the islands when the weather back home is at its harshest. Think about which dates line up with your milestone and with your family's schedules. Once you have a window in mind, ask St John Condos which weeks suit your group, since villas are rented by the week and availability shifts with the season.
- Planning the stay. Choose a villa that fits your group size, then shape the days around the occasion. Some families plan a single special dinner, while others prefer a loose schedule with time for the beach and the pool. Keep in mind that driving on St. John is on the left, so if you rent a car, take a moment to get comfortable before heading out with everyone on board.
