The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos helps travelers from Jefferson County, Illinois, plan a week away with friends at the Westin St John Resort. Our local team answers questions before you book, so your group can settle on dates and villa details with confidence.
A week with friends is one of the easiest trips to plan when everyone is pulling in the same direction. For many people from Jefferson County, the idea of trading a flat Illinois landscape for warm Caribbean water is exciting, but the logistics can feel like a lot to hold at once. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort give your group shared space, separate bedrooms, and a home base that feels like your own. Illinois winters are cold and gray, which makes a warm island week especially appealing to a group ready to get away together. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, airport code STT, then take a taxi to Red Hook and the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. Once you arrive, you will find that a villa gives everyone room to spread out, cook together, and rest between shared plans.

Planning your group week from Jefferson County
- Getting there from Jefferson County. Start by looking at how your group will reach St. Thomas, airport code STT. From there, most travelers take a taxi to Red Hook and board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Ask your friends early about their preferred flight arrangements, since keeping everyone on compatible plans makes the transfer to the island far smoother for the whole group.
- Choosing when to leave Illinois. Think about when your group can realistically step away from work and family. Because Illinois winters are cold, many friends from Jefferson County enjoy heading south during the colder months, though any season can suit a warm week. Agree on dates together, then send the list to our team so we can confirm villa availability before anyone commits.
- Planning the stay together. Villas are rented by the week, so decide early who is sharing which bedroom and how you will split shared costs. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left, so consider who will handle rental vehicles. Our local team is glad to talk through your group's needs before you book, so every friend knows what to expect.
