The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos helps travelers from Lake Chaffee, Connecticut, plan a milestone celebration at a villa at the Westin St John Resort on St. John, US Virgin Islands. Our local team answers questions before you book, so the trip can center on the occasion.
A milestone is worth marking somewhere that feels different from home. For many travelers from Lake Chaffee, Connecticut, that means leaving behind the familiar winter season and heading to a quiet Caribbean island where the days move at an easier pace. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort give a group room to gather, cook together, and talk without rushing from one plan to the next. The islands also make a practical case for a celebration. Most visitors reach St. John by flying to St. Thomas, then taking a taxi to Red Hook and the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. That small bit of travel becomes part of the story, a shared chapter before the party begins. Once you arrive, a rented villa by the week lets your family or friends settle in and make the occasion your own.

Planning Your Celebration From Lake Chaffee
- Reaching the island. Most travelers from Lake Chaffee fly to St. Thomas, the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan for everyone in your group to carry bags comfortably, and let your villa host know your arrival plans so the welcome is ready when you land.
- Choosing your timing. Connecticut winters are cold and gray, so many families mark milestones on the islands in the colder months when the Caribbean feels especially inviting. Think about who needs to attend, which dates matter for the honoree, and how much time you want for the celebration itself. Our team can talk through the season with you before you commit.
- Planning the stay. Villa Rentals suit milestone trips well because everyone has space to gather, cook, and rest between events. Decide early whether you want a quiet dinner, a larger family meal, or a few relaxed days at the resort. Share your guest list and plans with the St John Condos team, and they will help you choose a villa that fits the occasion.
