The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos answers questions from travelers in Darien Downtown before they book, helping plan a long-saved splurge at a villa in the Westin St John Resort area, in the US Virgin Islands.
For many people in Darien Downtown, a trip to the islands is something saved toward for years rather than booked on a whim. Connecticut winters are cold and gray, and a stretch of warm Caribbean air at the end of them can feel like a reward worth planning carefully. This page is written for that kind of traveler, the one who wants the trip to feel special from the first conversation to the last sunset. Villa rentals suit a splurge like this because they give you room to slow down. Instead of a single hotel room, you get a home base at the Westin St John Resort, with space to spread out, cook a quiet dinner, and wake up without a schedule. St John Condos is a local team that rents these villas, and we are glad to talk through what fits your plans before you commit to anything.

Planning your trip from Darien Downtown
- Getting to St. John. Most visitors from Connecticut fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there, the passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Once you arrive, remember that driving on the island is on the left, which is worth keeping in mind if you plan to rent a car while you stay at your villa.
- Choosing when to go. Leaving a cold Connecticut winter for the islands is an easy decision, but timing still matters. Think about the weather you want, the crowds you prefer, and whether a late winter or spring trip fits your calendar. Let the season guide the rest of your planning, and ask our team which weeks tend to suit a long-planned splurge.
- Planning the stay. Villas are rented by the week, which gives your splurge room to breathe. Decide how many days you want to unwind, which meals you want to cook at home, and what kind of outings you hope to take. Share those plans with St John Condos and we will help you match them to the right villa at the Westin St John Resort.
