The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos can help a group of friends from Chevy Chase Section Three, Maryland, plan a week at villas on St. John, close to the Westin St John Resort. Villas rent by the week, so the group can share one home and still enjoy the resort grounds.

A week away with friends has its own rhythm. Everyone wants a shared place to gather in the evenings, a little space to spread out in the mornings, and enough freedom that nobody feels obligated to do the same thing at the same time. For travelers from Chevy Chase Section Three, a villa at the Westin St John Resort on St. John can offer that balance, with a private home for your group and access to a resort setting on an island known for its calm, green hills. Because most visitors reach St. John by flying to St. Thomas and then taking a taxi to Red Hook and the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay, planning a group trip takes a bit of coordination. Everyone's arrival can be staggered or lined up, and one friend can often handle the ground transfers for the group. St John Condos answers these questions before you book, so your group can settle the details with confidence.

Planning your week from Chevy Chase Section Three

  1. Getting to St. John. Most travelers from Maryland fly into St. Thomas, where the airport code is STT. From there, a taxi carries you to Red Hook, and the passenger ferry crosses to Cruz Bay on St. John. If your group is arriving on different flights, agree on a single meeting point at Red Hook so no one waits alone. Once you are on St. John, remember that driving is on the left side of the road, which matters if you plan to rent a car.
  2. Choosing when to leave. Maryland winters are cold, so many friends from this part of the country look forward to a warm Caribbean escape during the colder months. Travel from Chevy Chase Section Three in those months can feel especially welcome. Talk with your group early about dates, since a shared week requires everyone's schedule to line up, and check with the St John Condos team about the villas available for your preferred stretch.
  3. Planning the stay. Since villas are rented by the week, a full seven-day stay is a natural fit for a group. Decide early who will handle the Villa Rentals booking and who will collect each person's share of the cost. Then sketch a loose plan for the week, with room for beach time, shared meals at the villa, and quiet afternoons. Leaving some open time keeps the trip relaxed and lets everyone pursue their own interests.
