The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos can help couples in Chevy Chase Section Five, Maryland, plan a quiet island getaway in villas near the Westin St John Resort. Villas are rented by the week, and the local team answers questions before you book.
Chevy Chase Section Five sits in the Southeast region of the United States, where the winters are cold and the grey days can stretch on. For a couple, that contrast makes a Caribbean escape feel especially welcome. You trade heavy coats for warm sand and a slower rhythm, and you get the chance to spend real time with each other rather than squeezing a trip into a long weekend. Staying in a villa at the Westin St John Resort gives you room to settle in. Villa Rentals let you cook a quiet breakfast, read on a private deck, and decide each day whether to explore or simply do nothing. Many couples find that the pace of the island changes how they talk and listen, and that is often the real reason they come back.

Planning a couples trip from Chevy Chase Section Five
- Reaching the island. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which uses the airport code STT. From there, plan on a taxi to Red Hook, then the passenger ferry across to Cruz Bay on St. John. If you rent a car on the island, remember that driving is on the left, which takes some getting used to for drivers from Maryland.
- Choosing your season. Maryland winters are cold, so many couples choose to leave in the colder months when the islands feel most like an escape. Think about what you want from the trip, whether that is calm weather, quieter days, or simply a break from the local forecast. A conversation with the St John Condos team can help you match the timing to your plans.
- Planning the stay. Villas are rented by the week, so consider how many days you truly want before you commit. Think about whether you prefer a slow start with breakfast on the terrace or an early outing before the heat builds. Share your must-haves with the team at St John Condos before booking, so your villa fits the way you want to spend time together.
