The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos helps travelers from Swink plan a week away with friends at the Westin St John Resort, with villas rented by the week and a local team ready to answer questions before you book.

Swink sits in the southeastern part of Colorado, a long way from the warm Caribbean waters that surround St. John. For a group of friends who have spent a winter season dreaming of sun and sea, a week at the Westin St John Resort can feel like the right kind of change. Villa Rentals at the resort give a group room to spread out, cook together when they like, and gather on the terrace without sharing walls with strangers. The attraction of a shared villa is simple. Friends can keep their own schedules, meet for breakfast, and then separate for the afternoon without anyone feeling left behind. Colorado winters are cold, so arriving to warm air and easy days is often the whole point. Plan the trip around that feeling of ease, and let the island set the pace.

Planning a week away from Swink

  1. Reaching the island. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, the airport code is STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there the passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a little slack into the day, because island connections rarely run exactly the way a printed schedule suggests. Share the taxi cost among the group and pack light bags so the crossing stays simple.
  2. Choosing when to go. Think about the season before you think about the fare. Leaving a Colorado winter for the islands is a welcome escape in the cold months, while the warmer stretch of the year brings its own rhythm. Talk with your friends early so everyone can get time off work. Once the dates feel settled, ask the St John Condos team which weeks suit a group of your size.
  3. Planning the stay. Book a villa with enough bedrooms and room to gather, and agree as a group on who handles groceries, meals, and the daily plan. Driving on St. John happens on the left, so the friend who is most comfortable with that should take the wheel. Set one shared day for slow mornings and another for exploring, and leave a few open evenings for whatever the week brings.

Frequently asked questions

Is a villa better than a hotel room for a group of friends from Swink?

For a group, a villa usually offers more space to talk, cook, and relax together. Each person can have a private corner while the common areas stay lively. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort are booked by the week, which suits a trip where everyone wants to settle in rather than move every night.

Can the St John Condos team help us choose a villa before we book?

Yes. St John Condos is a local team that answers questions before you book. Tell them how many friends are coming, what kind of days you want, and any needs your group has. They can help you think through the choice so the week fits what everyone hopes to do.
