The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos rents villas at the Westin St John Resort for travelers from Rocky Ford, Colorado, who want a week away with friends on a Caribbean island. Villas are rented by the week, and the local team answers questions before you book.
Rocky Ford sits in the southeastern part of Colorado, in the West, where the landscape is wide open and the seasons are clearly marked. For a group of friends who are used to dry air and big skies, a week on St. John offers something quite different: warm water, slow mornings, and a shared house that keeps everyone close. Many travelers from this part of the country find that the change of scenery is the point. A week away with friends works best when the group agrees on the basics before anyone packs. Think about how much time you want together and how much you want to spend apart. A villa gives each person room to rest, read, or wander, and it gives the group one place to gather at the end of the day. St John Condos can talk through how a villa fits a group like yours before you commit.

Planning your trip from Rocky Ford
- Reaching the island. Most visitors from Colorado fly to St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there, a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan your flights with the whole group in mind so everyone arrives in the same general window, and keep your ferry tickets and luggage plans simple. Driving on St. John is on the left, so if you rent a car, take a moment to adjust before heading out.
- Choosing when to go. Winters in Colorado are cold, so many friends from Rocky Ford choose to head south when the snow is deepest. The islands stay warm across the year, which means the timing is more about your group's calendar and budget than the weather. Compare what works for everyone's schedules early, and remember that the shoulder of the season can be a good balance between open availability and easier planning.
- Planning the stay. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort are booked by the week, which suits a group that wants a full seven days together. Decide who is responsible for groceries, who handles airport runs, and how shared costs will be split before you arrive. Then message St John Condos with your questions about bedrooms, layout, and what the villa includes, so nothing surprises you once you have unpacked.
