The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos is a local team that answers questions before you book, and for friends from Middle River, Maryland, planning a shared week, we can help you think through villa rentals at the Westin St John Resort on St. John.
A week away with friends takes more coordination than a solo trip or a quiet couples escape. Everyone has a different idea of how much time to spend lounging, exploring, or sleeping in, and a group of travelers from Middle River, Maryland, will want a place where those preferences can all fit under one roof. Villa rentals at the Westin St John Resort give your group shared space to gather, cook, and unwind together. Because villas are rented by the week, a group stay tends to feel more settled than a string of hotel nights. You can plan slow mornings, long dinners, and the occasional outing without packing up every few days. Before you commit, the St John Condos team is glad to talk through how many people a villa suits and what your group should consider.

Getting from Middle River to St. John
- Reach St. Thomas first. Most visitors from the Middle River area fly into the St. Thomas airport, which carries the code STT. Your group can coordinate arrivals so everyone lands within a similar window, which makes the next leg far easier. Plan to take a taxi from the airport to Red Hook, where the passenger ferry departs for Cruz Bay on St. John.
- Time your departure. Maryland winters are cold, so many groups from the region choose to head south in the coldest months when a warm week feels most welcome. Shoulder seasons can also suit groups who want fewer crowds and easier coordination. Talk with your friends early about which weeks fit everyone's calendars and budgets.
- Plan the stay together. Once you know your dates, pick a villa sized for your group and agree on who handles which tasks, such as groceries, rental car logistics, and dinner plans. Driving on St. John is on the left, so anyone who will drive should be comfortable with that before arrival. Reach out to St John Condos with questions before booking so your group starts with clear expectations.
Frequently asked questions
How many friends can share one villa for a week?
Villa sizes vary, so the right number depends on the specific property and how your group plans to use the space. Tell the St John Condos team how many people are coming and what matters most, and we will help you narrow down the options before you book.
Do we need to rent a car on St. John?
Many visitors find that a car makes getting around the island more flexible, and it is worth deciding early as a group. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left side of the road, which takes some adjustment. Our team can share practical notes so everyone who plans to drive arrives ready.
