Planning a group week from Lealman
- Getting to St. John. Most visitors reach St. John by flying into St. Thomas, which uses airport code STT, and then taking a taxi to Red Hook. From there, the passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Ask your group to coordinate arrival days so everyone meets at the ferry together. Keep in mind that driving on the island is on the left, so a shared rental car should be handled by someone comfortable with that.
- Choosing when to go. Lealman sits in a state where summers are hot and humid, so many friends like to plan a trip to the islands during the cooler, drier months of the year. Think about school calendars, work leave, and holidays that your group shares. Once you agree on a window, lock in dates early, because a group of several people is easier to book when your plans are settled before others fill the calendar.
- Planning the stay. Decide early who is handling payments, who is tracking shared expenses, and who will be the point person for villa questions. Our team can explain how Villa Rentals work at the Westin St John Resort before you book, so you know what your group is reserving. Agree on a loose daily plan with plenty of open time. A good group week balances shared meals and outings with space for everyone to rest.
Frequently asked questions
Can a group from Lealman share one villa for the whole week?
That depends on the villa and how many people your group has in mind. Tell us the size of your party and the dates you are considering, and we will walk you through which Villa Rentals suit a group. We answer these questions before you book, so you can decide with clear information.
Do we need to arrange ferry tickets before we fly in?
Most visitors take the passenger ferry from Red Hook to Cruz Bay, so it is worth planning the transfer from St. Thomas in advance. Let your group know the arrival plan ahead of time.
