The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos can help travelers from Belleair Bluffs, Florida, plan a warm winter escape to villas at the Westin St John Resort on St. John, US Virgin Islands. Our local team answers questions before you book.

Belleair Bluffs sits in the Southeast, where winters are mild compared with northern states, yet there are still chilly mornings and gray days that can wear on a traveler. A change of scenery can feel like a real reset. St. John offers a different kind of quiet, with a warm Caribbean climate that stays pleasant through the cooler months of the year. Many people from this part of Florida find that a villa stay suits them better than a standard hotel room. You get more space to spread out, a kitchen for simple breakfasts, and a slower rhythm that matches the island. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort give you that comfort while keeping resort amenities close at hand, so the trip feels restful from the first morning.

Getting from Belleair Bluffs to St. John

  1. Reach St. Thomas first. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, using the airport code STT, since that is the usual gateway to St. John. From Belleair Bluffs you will likely connect somewhere along the way, so build a little slack into your plans. Once you land, a taxi can take you to Red Hook, where the passenger ferry departs for Cruz Bay on St. John.
  2. Pick your season carefully. Florida winters are pleasant, but the Virgin Islands have their own calendar of warm, dry weather and busier stretches around the holidays. Think about what kind of break you want, whether that is quiet days or a livelier setting. Our team can talk through the timing with you before you commit to a villa.
  3. Plan the stay itself. Villas are rented by the week, which suits a true escape from the cold. Consider how you will get around, since driving on St. John is on the left side of the road, and it is worth thinking ahead about rental cars and sightseeing. Pack for warm weather, light layers for evenings, and a good pair of walking shoes.
