The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos can help travelers from Lake Pocotopaug, Connecticut, plan a quiet week at a villa at the Westin St John Resort, with questions answered before you book.
Lake Pocotopaug sits in the Northeast, where winters are cold and the calendar tends to fill with obligations long before spring. A week away from all of that can feel like a rare thing to hold onto. The Westin St John Resort on St. John in the US Virgin Islands offers a different kind of pace, one built around warm water, slow mornings, and a villa that is yours for the length of your stay. Villa Rentals at the resort are arranged by the week, which suits a traveler who wants to settle in rather than move from place to place. Many guests from the Northeast find that the first day is spent simply doing nothing in particular. That is the point. St John Condos is here to walk you through the details so the planning itself does not become another task on your list.

Planning a quiet week from Lake Pocotopaug
- Reaching St. John. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which uses the airport code STT. From there, a taxi will take you to Red Hook, where you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. It is a simple sequence, but it is worth knowing before you go. Once you arrive, remember that driving on St. John is on the left, which may take a little adjusting.
- Choosing your departure season. Leaving a Connecticut winter behind is one of the main reasons people book a quiet week in the islands. The islands stay warm year round, so the question is less about weather and more about crowds, budget, and the kind of quiet you want. Think about what a relaxing week means to you, then let that guide the timing of your trip.
- Planning the stay itself. Decide early how much of your week you want to fill and how much you want to leave open. A villa works well for travelers who value privacy and a kitchen of their own. Let St John Condos know what matters most to you, whether that is quiet mornings, a slower pace, or simply a place to read, and we will help you choose a stay that fits.
