The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos helps travelers from Hudson, Colorado, plan a long-awaited splurge at the Westin St John Resort, with villas rented by the week and a local team ready to answer questions before you book.

For many people in Hudson, a trip to the Caribbean has been something saved up for and talked about for years. A splurge like this deserves a stay that feels unhurried, with room to spread out and a home base that suits the way you want to spend your days. Villa rentals at the Westin St John Resort offer that kind of setting, with your own space and the resort's grounds close at hand. Coming from a landlocked state with cold winters, many travelers from Colorado find the islands feel like a complete change of pace. The water, the slower rhythm, and the warm air tend to be the parts people remember most. Planning ahead lets you choose a villa that fits your group and your budget for the trip, and our team is glad to talk through those choices before anything is booked.

Planning Your Trip from Hudson

  1. Reaching the island. Most visitors from Colorado fly to St. Thomas, airport code STT, then take a taxi to Red Hook and catch the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. The ferry is the usual way over, and it lands close to where most stays begin. Plan for a little extra time on travel days so the connections feel relaxed rather than rushed, and keep your documents easy to reach for the ferry crossing.
  2. Choosing when to go. Colorado winters are cold, so many travelers from Hudson find the islands especially appealing in the colder months at home. Think about what matters most to your group, whether that is calm weather, quieter days, or a particular season for a milestone. Once you settle on the window, our team can help you see which villa dates are open.
  3. Settling into your villa. Villas at the Westin St John Resort are rented by the week, which gives you room to slow down and make the stay your own. Keep in mind that driving on St. John is on the left, so take a moment to adjust before heading out. Tell us early about your group size, any accessibility needs, and what you hope to do, and we will help you match the right villa.

Frequently asked questions

Is a villa rental a good fit for a special trip from Hudson?

For many travelers, yes. A villa gives you your own kitchen, living space, and room to relax together, which suits anniversaries, celebrations, or family reunions. Villa rentals are booked by the week, so you can plan a full stay rather than a short visit, and our team can talk through which layout works best for your group.

Do I need to plan how I will get around the island?

It helps to think about it before you arrive. Driving on St. John is on the left, which takes some getting used to for visitors from Colorado. Many people settle in comfortably after a short adjustment period. If you have questions about getting around from your villa, ask our team before you book so you can plan with confidence.
