The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos can help travelers from Security-Widefield plan a beach-focused trip to St. John, where villas at the Westin St John Resort are rented by the week. Our local team answers questions before you book.
Security-Widefield sits on the high plains of Colorado, a long way from any ocean. For many people here, a trip to the Caribbean is less about escape from the mountains and more about sand, clear water, and slow mornings with nothing urgent on the calendar. St. John suits that kind of trip well, because the island keeps its pace easy and its beaches close at hand. Coming from a landlocked state, you may find the ocean feels different than you expect. Warm water, steady breezes, and reef-lined bays make St. John a comfortable place to spend whole days in the sun. Choosing a villa rental gives you a home base with room to rest between swims, and it lets you set the rhythm of each day rather than fitting into someone else's schedule.

Getting to St. John from Security-Widefield
- Reaching the islands. Most visitors from Security-Widefield fly into St. Thomas, airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there, the passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a little slack into your travel day so an unexpected delay at either end does not cost you your first evening on the beach.
- Picking your season. Colorado winters are cold and dry, so many travelers from here look to the islands during the colder months at home. The Caribbean stays warm year round, but seasons still shape rain, crowds, and rates. Talk with our team about which weeks fit your budget and your comfort, and we will help you narrow the choice before you commit.
- Planning your stay. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort are booked by the week, which gives you room to settle in. Think about how much time you want on the sand, whether you plan to drive around the island, and remember that driving on St. John is on the left. Send us your plans and we will help you match a villa to the trip you have in mind.
