The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos helps travelers from Gleneagle, Colorado, plan a milestone celebration on St. John, with villas at the Westin St John Resort rented by the week and a local team ready to answer questions before you book.
A milestone is worth marking somewhere that feels like a real change of scenery, and for many people in Gleneagle, that means leaving the mountain air and the dry, high-altitude winters behind for warm Caribbean water. St. John is a small island in the US Virgin Islands, and its pace is slower than most mainland destinations. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort give your group a private base for the celebration, with room to gather, cook a quiet dinner, and step outside when you want to. Because most visitors fly into St. Thomas and cross by taxi to Red Hook and then the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay, the trip has a small amount of logistics built in. That is a good thing for a celebration. It gives everyone a shared sense of arrival, and it means the moment you step off the ferry starts to feel like the start of something. A local team can walk you through the details so the planning stays light.

Planning your celebration from Gleneagle
- Getting to St. John. Most travelers from Gleneagle fly to the St. Thomas airport, code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there, the passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan for a day of travel, and keep a bag with essentials close at hand, since the last leg is the one you will remember most. Once you land, you can relax into the slower island rhythm.
- Choosing when to leave Colorado. Think about the season you want to celebrate in. Gleneagle winters are cold and snowy, so many people choose to leave during those months for warm sun and calm water. Leaving before your milestone date gives you a few easy days to settle in. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left side of the road, so take a moment to adjust before you head out in a rental.
- Planning your stay in a villa. Villa Rentals are booked by the week, which suits a milestone that deserves more than a short visit. Think about how many people are coming, whether you want a kitchen for a special meal, and how much privacy you need. Share your dates and guest list with the team early. They can help you choose a villa that fits the occasion.
