The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos helps travelers from Pueblo West, Colorado, plan a long-awaited splurge at the Westin St John Resort, with villas rented by the week and a local team ready to answer questions before you book.

For many people in Pueblo West, the idea of a Caribbean escape has lived on a list for years, waiting for the right season and the right reason. A splurge like this deserves more than a rushed booking. It deserves time to picture the trip, to weigh what matters most, and to choose a villa that fits the kind of holiday you have been dreaming about. Colorado sits far inland, so the contrast with St. John is sharp. Where your winters bring snow and high dry air, the Virgin Islands offer warm water and a slower rhythm. Many guests from the Rocky Mountain states tell us the change of scenery is the point, and that is exactly why a villa, with its private space and room to spread out, often feels like the right choice for a trip this special.

Planning your island trip from Pueblo West

  1. Reaching St. John. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there you board the passenger ferry across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a little slack into your connections, since island travel moves at its own pace. Once you land, it helps to know that driving on St. John is on the left side of the road.
  2. Choosing your season. Colorado travelers often plan around their own winter, so think about when you most want warmth and calm water. Shoulder periods can feel especially pleasant, with fewer crowds and a relaxed feel. Ask our local team which months suit the kind of holiday you have in mind, whether that is quiet mornings, lively evenings, or long stretches doing very little at all.
  3. Planning your villa stay. Villas are rented by the week, which gives a splurge like this room to breathe. Decide early who is coming, how much privacy you want, and whether you plan to cook in. Think about how you will spend your days, then match the villa to those plans. Send us your questions before you book, and we will walk through the details with you.
