If you live in Ocoee, Florida, a trip to the Caribbean may feel like a big step, and that is a good thing. Your first Caribbean trip, planned from Ocoee

  1. Reaching the island. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, then take a taxi to Red Hook and board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a little slack in your schedule for the transfer, and keep your travel documents handy. Once on St. John, remember that driving is on the left side of the road, so take a moment before getting behind the wheel.
  2. Choosing your season. Florida visitors often picture the islands as always summery, but the seasons still shape how a trip feels. Late spring and early winter tend to suit travelers who prefer fewer crowds, while the warmest months bring steady heat and frequent sun. Think about what matters most to you, then pick a window that fits your calendar and comfort.
  3. Planning the stay. Villa rentals are typically booked by the week, which gives a first-time visitor room to settle in and explore at a relaxed pace. Ask the St John Condos team about the villa layout, kitchen facilities, and access to the Westin St John Resort before you book. A clear list of questions up front makes the rest of the planning much easier.
