The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos can help travelers from Bay Hill, Florida plan a beach-centered stay at the Westin St John Resort, with villa rentals that suit a relaxed week by the water. Ask the local team anything before you book.

Bay Hill sits in Florida, in the Southeast, where the Atlantic and the Gulf shape much of daily life and the beach is never far from mind. If your idea of a trip starts with sand underfoot and water you can see from your door, St. John in the US Virgin Islands may match that instinct well. The island is small and green, with a calm pace that suits people who want time at the shore more than a packed itinerary. The Westin St John Resort on St. John is a natural base for a beach-focused trip, and St John Condos rents villas there by the week, so you can settle in rather than check in and out. Villa Rentals give you a kitchen, room to spread out, and a place to come back to between swims and slow afternoons. Our team is local and happy to talk through what fits your plans before you commit.

Planning Your Beach Trip from Bay Hill

  1. Reaching the Island. Most visitors from Florida fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, then take a taxi to Red Hook and catch the passenger ferry across to Cruz Bay on St. John. It is an easy sequence once you know it, and it leaves you with a little of the island atmosphere before you arrive at your villa. Plan for that final stretch on the water as part of the fun.
  2. Choosing Your Dates. Think about the season before you pick a week. Winter brings drier, pleasant conditions that many beach travelers prefer, while the warmer months are greener and quieter. Florida visitors are used to heat and humidity, so you can weigh whether you want the tropical rhythm of the islands year round or a particular stretch that suits your schedule.
  3. Planning the Stay. Choose a villa rental that gives you space for beach gear, a fridge for cold drinks, and a porch or balcony for slow mornings. Keep your days loose, with one or two beach plans and plenty of open time. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left, so think about whether you will rely on taxis or rent a car.
