A stay on St. John offers warm sea air, clear water, and a slower pace that is hard to find closer to home. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort give you a place of your own to unwind, with room to spread out. Because the island sits in the Caribbean, the weather stays comfortable through the months when the cold is hardest on the mainland. Your winter escape from North Weeki Wachee
- Reaching the island. Most visitors from North Weeki Wachee fly to St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT. From there a taxi carries you to Red Hook, where you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a little slack in your schedule for the transfers, and keep your travel documents close at hand for the ferry crossing.
- Choosing your timing. Winter is a popular time to leave Florida for the islands because the cold months at home are at their peak. Think about school calendars, holiday weeks, and how much warm weather you want to enjoy. St John Condos can talk through the season with you before you commit, so your dates fit your plans.
- Planning your villa stay. Villas are rented by the week, which gives you time to settle in and explore at a relaxed pace. Consider what you want from the stay, whether that is quiet mornings on a private terrace or a mix of beach days and time indoors. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left, so take that into account if you plan to get around by car.
