The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos rents villas at the Westin St John Resort for groups of friends who want a relaxed week together. For travelers from Mountain Meadows, Colorado, it is a local team that answers questions before you book.

A week away with friends has a way of working best when everyone has their own space and still gathers easily at the end of the day. Mountain Meadows sits in the West, a long way from the Caribbean, so most of the group will be arriving with a bit of travel behind them and a clear wish to slow down. A villa rental suits that mood well, since the kitchen, the living areas, and the outdoor space give everyone room to settle in. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort are booked by the week, which fits a shared trip neatly and keeps the planning simple for whoever is organizing. Coming from a landlocked state, many travelers find that the island pace is the real draw, and friends often enjoy the easy rhythm of mornings on the terrace and unhurried evenings together. Taking time to talk through who wants quiet days and who wants more activity usually makes the whole week go more smoothly.

Getting from Mountain Meadows to St. John

  1. Reaching the islands. Most visitors from Colorado fly into St. Thomas, which is the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there, the passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan the connections with your whole group in mind, and share the itinerary early so no one is left guessing about pickup times on the island side.
  2. Choosing when to go. Colorado winters are cold and snowy, so many friend groups choose to leave the mountains during the coldest months when the islands feel especially welcoming. Think about shared schedules, school calendars, and work commitments, and agree on dates together. Mild island weather is a common-knowledge draw for anyone used to chilly winters back home.
  3. Planning the stay. Once dates are set, decide who is handling the villa booking and who is tracking shared costs. St John Condos can answer questions about the villa before you commit, so bring your list. Agree in advance on the rough plan for days out, a few shared meals, and quiet time, and remember that driving on St. John is on the left side of the road.
