The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos can answer questions for travelers from Middleburg, Florida, before you book a villa at the Westin St John Resort, so you can plan a beach-focused trip with clear expectations about the island.
Middleburg sits in northern Florida, a long way from the Caribbean, and many of the families who live here are used to warm sunshine and sandy shorelines close to home. A trip to St. John offers something different: a small island with a slower pace, clear water, and beaches that feel like a reward after a busy year. Most visitors begin by flying into St. Thomas, then making their way across to the island by ferry. A beach-centered getaway works well when the rest of the plan stays simple. Choosing a villa gives you room to spread out, cook a few meals, and return to the sand whenever you like. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort can suit travelers who want privacy as well as easy access to the water, and our local team is happy to talk through the details before you commit.

Your beach trip from Middleburg
- Reaching the island. Most travelers from Middleburg fly to St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, then take a taxi to Red Hook and board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. If you plan to rent a car on St. John, remember that driving on the island is on the left. Packing light makes the ferry crossing and the walk to your villa far more pleasant.
- Choosing your season. Florida winters are mild, but many people from Middleburg still look for a warm escape during the colder months. Islands in the Caribbean stay pleasant year round, so the best time to go depends on how crowded you want the beaches to be and how much rain you are willing to accept. Think about your own calendar before settling on dates.
- Planning the stay. Villas at the Westin St John Resort are rented by the week, which suits a relaxed beach holiday well. Decide early whether you want a sea view, how many bedrooms you need, and whether you plan to cook most meals. Reach out to the St John Condos team with questions about what each villa offers so your days on the sand unfold without surprises.
