The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos helps travelers from Madison Center, Connecticut, plan a week away with friends at villa rentals on St. John, close to the Westin St John Resort. Ask us anything before you book.
A week away with friends is one of the easiest ways to make a trip feel full, and a group from Madison Center often finds that a shared villa suits the pace better than separate hotel rooms. Everyone gets a place to gather, cook a casual dinner, and sit outside together in the evening. Villa Rentals on St. John are set up for exactly that kind of shared stay. Connecticut winters are cold, so many friends from the state look toward the Caribbean when they want sun and warm water for a week. St. John is a small island, quieter than many destinations, and a good match for a group that wants rest as much as activity. You can spend mornings at a slow pace and plan outings together as the mood strikes.

Planning a week away from Madison Center
- Getting to the island. Most visitors reach St. John by flying into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then taking a taxi to Red Hook. From there a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay. Plan the group's arrivals so everyone connects to the same ferry, since keeping the group together makes the start of the week much easier.
- Choosing when to leave. Connecticut's winter months are the most common reason friends head south, but the right window depends on what your group values most. Talk through school schedules, work commitments, and who can take time off. Once you have a rough window, share it with the group early so people can book flights with plenty of notice.
- Planning the stay. Villas are rented by the week, which suits a group that wants a shared home base. Agree on a rough plan for meals, transportation, and quiet time before you arrive. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left, so confirm who is comfortable taking the wheel before you commit to a rental car.
