Planning your beach trip from Branford Center
- Reaching St. John. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which is the usual gateway for St. John. From the airport, a taxi takes you to Red Hook, where you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. Once on St. John, remember that driving is on the left side of the road, so take that into account if you plan to rent a car while you are on the island.
- Choosing your season. Connecticut winters are cold, so many travelers from Branford Center look toward the islands during the colder months at home. The Virgin Islands have a warm climate year round, which makes the beach an easy choice in any season. Think about when you prefer to be away from work and family, and let that guide your timing.
- Planning the stay. Villas at the Westin St John Resort are rented by the week, which suits a beach-centered trip well because it gives you time to settle in. Think about how many days you want on the sand, and whether you want a villa with space for everyone traveling with you. St John Condos can help you match the stay to your plans.
