The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos helps travelers from Long Hill, Connecticut, plan a week away with friends at the Westin St John Resort, with villa rentals that give a group room to spread out and settle in together.
A week with friends on St. John can feel like the trip you keep talking about until someone finally books it. For a group leaving Long Hill, Connecticut, the appeal is easy to name: warm water, a slower pace, and time to be together without the usual scramble of hotel rooms and shared schedules. Villa rentals at the Westin St John Resort give your group a home base where everyone can gather on the terrace, cook a shared meal, or simply sit and talk. Connecticut winters are long and gray, which is part of why a trip to the Virgin Islands tends to feel so welcome. Planning as a group takes some coordination, but the reward is a week where the days belong to you and your friends. St John Condos is a local team that answers questions before you book, so you can talk through who is coming, what you want from the week, and which villa suits the group.

Planning a week with friends from Long Hill
- Getting to St. John. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which is the usual gateway to St. John. From there you take a taxi to Red Hook and catch the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. Because the group is traveling from Long Hill, it helps to agree early on who is flying from which airport, so everyone can share a taxi and a ferry crossing and arrive together.
- Choosing when to leave. Connecticut winters are cold, so many groups from the Northeast look toward the islands during the colder months when home feels least inviting. Think about what your friends can realistically take off from work and school, then match that window to the season you want. Talk as a group before you commit, since a shared week is easier to plan when everyone has weighed in.
- Planning the stay. Renting a villa by the week keeps the group together, with space for shared meals and quiet mornings. Decide early whether you want the trip to be mostly relaxed days or a mix of outings. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left, so agree on who will drive and who will ride along. A short planning call with the St John Condos team can settle the details.
