The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos helps couples from Key Largo, Florida, plan a relaxed island escape, with villas at the Westin St John Resort that are rented by the week so you can settle in and slow down together.
Key Largo sits in the Southeast of the United States, where the warm weather and water feel familiar to anyone who has spent time in Florida. For a couple looking for a change of scenery, St. John offers something different: a small island in the US Virgin Islands with a slower pace, quiet mornings, and a stretch of coast that rewards unhurried days together. Many couples find that a villa suits them better than a standard hotel room. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort give you room to cook a simple breakfast, read on a private porch, and set your own rhythm. Since villas are rented by the week, a longer stay becomes the natural choice for a getaway meant to feel restful.

Planning Your Trip From Key Largo
- Reaching the Island. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan your luggage with that route in mind, keep essentials handy for the crossing, and remember that driving on St. John is on the left side of the road, which is worth a quick thought before you take the wheel.
- Choosing Your Season. Florida and the Virgin Islands share a warm climate, but the islands have their own rhythm of seasons. Think about the weather you want for swimming, walking, and lazy afternoons on the terrace. A calmer, drier stretch often suits couples who want to linger outdoors, so consider your own preferences before you lock in your dates.
- Planning Your Stay. Settle on a villa early, since the Westin St John Resort offers a range of Villa Rentals that fit different couples. Decide how you want your days shaped, whether that means slow mornings, a long lunch, or an evening walk. Share your plans with the St John Condos team, who can answer questions before you book and help you choose the right villa.
