You have been talking about it for years, and now the trip you kept postponing is finally taking shape. For many people in Hunters Creek, a stay on St. John is less a vacation than a deliberate treat, something saved for and looked forward to. Here, the Westin St John Resort offers the setting, and a villa gives you room to slow down, cook a meal in your own kitchen, and spread out after a long year. A splurge deserves careful planning so that the details feel as generous as the decision. Our villa rentals at the Westin St John Resort are booked by the week, which suits travelers who want time to settle in rather than rushing from one plan to the next. Ask us anything before you commit, from layout and amenities to how the stay fits your dates, and we will answer plainly.

Planning your island escape from Hunters Creek
- Getting to the island. Most visitors from Florida fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there, a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan for the ferry as part of the journey, pack light enough to carry your own bags, and remember that driving on the island is on the left, which is worth knowing before you pick up a rental car.
- Choosing when to go. Florida travelers often find the Virgin Islands feel familiar in climate, with warm weather for much of the year. Think about what matters most for your splurge: calmer seas, quieter beaches, or the energy of a busier season. Let your own preferences guide the timing, and tell us your ideal dates so we can help you weigh the options.
- Planning the stay. Decide early how you want your days to feel. A week in a villa leaves room for lazy mornings, long lunches, and evenings that need no plan at all. Share your must-haves with our team, whether that is a particular bedroom layout or a quiet spot to read, and we will help you match them to the right villa at the Westin St John Resort.
