The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos helps travelers from Gerrard, Colorado, plan a winter escape from the cold to villas at the Westin St John Resort on St. John. Ask the local team anything before you book, and they will walk you through the details.

Winters in Colorado can feel long, and for many people in Gerrard the thought of warm sun and a slow pace becomes hard to ignore by the time the snow settles in. St John is a small island in the US Virgin Islands, and it offers a different kind of winter altogether, one where the days stay mild and the water invites you in. Many visitors choose a villa rather than a standard room, so they have space to spread out and settle into a routine. At St John Condos we rent villas at the Westin St John Resort by the week, which suits travelers who want more than a short visit. Villa Rentals give you room to cook, relax on a private deck, and come and go at your own pace. If you are weighing whether an island escape is right for you, our local team is happy to answer questions before you commit to anything.

Planning your escape from Gerrard

  1. Reaching St. John. Most visitors from Gerrard fly into St. Thomas, which uses the airport code STT. From there, take a taxi to Red Hook and board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. If you plan to drive on the island, keep in mind that traffic moves on the left, which takes a little getting used to for drivers from the United States.
  2. Choosing your timing. Colorado winters bring cold, snow, and short gray days, so many people from Gerrard find the season ideal for a warm-weather break. Think about what matters most to you, whether that is calm beaches, quiet mornings, or a lively stretch of activity. Our team can help you line up dates with the rest of your plans, so the escape fits your schedule and your budget.
  3. Planning your stay. Villa Rentals are typically booked by the week, which gives you time to settle in and enjoy the island without rushing. Think about how many people are traveling, how you like to spend your days, and whether you want to cook at home. Reach out to St John Condos with your questions, and we will help you choose a villa that matches the kind of winter break you have in mind.
