The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos helps travelers from Drum Point, Maryland, plan a milestone celebration at the Westin St John Resort on St. John, US Virgin Islands, with villa rentals set up before you book.
A milestone is worth marking somewhere that feels separate from ordinary life. For travelers leaving Drum Point, Maryland, a trip to St. John can offer exactly that kind of change, with warm water, quiet mornings, and evenings that slow down on their own. Many people choose the islands for an anniversary, a big birthday, or a retirement, and they want the days around the celebration to feel unhurried. The Westin St John Resort gives you a base on the island, and villa rentals add room to gather, cook a simple dinner, and spend time together without a rush. Planning a milestone trip from Drum Point
- Reaching St. John. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which uses the airport code STT. From there, a taxi takes you to Red Hook, where you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan to keep a bag or two light, since you will carry your own luggage on and off the boat, and confirm the ferry details closer to your travel date.
- Choosing your timing. Maryland winters are cold, so many travelers from Drum Point pick the islands during the colder months for a clear contrast. The Caribbean stays warm year round, so the choice often comes down to your schedule and celebration date. Think about when the milestone falls, then work backward to find a stretch that gives everyone time to relax.
- Planning the stay. Renting a villa for the week gives a celebration room to breathe, with space for a shared dinner or a quiet morning on the porch. Keep in mind that driving on St. John is on the left side of the road, which takes some adjustment. Reach out to St John Condos with your group size and dates, and the team can help you compare options before you book.
