The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos helps couples in Wimauma, Florida, plan a relaxed island escape by arranging villa rentals at the Westin St John Resort, with answers to your questions before you book.

Couples leaving Wimauma often want a getaway that feels private and unhurried, and a villa at the Westin St John Resort can offer just that. Villa rentals give you your own space to unwind together, with room to cook a quiet breakfast, step outside in the morning air, and decide each day what you want to do. Florida is a warm place to start from, so the contrast with a small Caribbean island can be part of the appeal. St. John is a quiet island where driving is on the left and the pace is slower, and many couples find that a villa suits the way they like to travel, with fewer crowds and more time for each other.

Planning your island trip from Wimauma

  1. Reaching St. John. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which is the usual gateway from the mainland. From there, a taxi will take you to Red Hook, where you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. Plan this leg with some slack in your day so the transfer feels relaxed rather than rushed, especially after a long journey with your partner.
  2. Choosing when to go. Florida travelers can pick a season that suits the two of you. Many couples prefer the drier, cooler months for comfortable days outdoors, while others enjoy the warmth of the summer. Think about what kind of trip you want, then ask our team which timing tends to suit a couple looking for a calm villa stay.
  3. Planning the stay. Villa rentals are arranged by the week, which gives you a steady rhythm for a couples trip. Consider how you want your days to feel, whether that means slow mornings on the terrace or a few planned outings. Share your preferences with us before you book, and we will help you choose a villa that matches the getaway you have in mind.
