The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos rents villas at the Westin St John Resort for families from Trinity, Florida, who want a single shared home for three generations on the island. Our local team answers questions before you book, so you can plan around grandparents, parents, and children together.
A trip with three generations under one roof asks for more thought than a typical getaway. Grandparents may want quiet mornings, parents may want a relaxed pace with a little structure, and younger travelers often want room to roam. Travelers from Trinity know the heat and humidity of Florida well, which makes the Caribbean warmth feel familiar, yet a shared trip still rewards careful planning on your side. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort give your family separate spaces to rest while staying together in one place. A villa means you can keep your own schedule for meals, naps, and evenings without crowding anyone. Our team at St John Condos can talk through layouts and arrangements with you before you commit, so everyone in your group feels considered.

Planning a shared trip from Trinity
- Reaching the island. Most visitors from Florida fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook. From there a passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan for grandparents to have an easy first leg, perhaps with a seat near the aisle and a short wait at each step, so the whole group arrives rested and ready.
- Choosing the right season. Florida families know that summer and early fall bring heavy weather to the region, and the Virgin Islands can see similar seasonal patterns. Many multigenerational groups prefer the drier, cooler months, when the air is gentler for older relatives and young children alike. Talk with your family early so the timing suits the oldest and youngest members of the group.
- Planning the stay. Because villas are rented by the week, a longer stay often gives three generations time to settle in without feeling rushed. Map out which days are for shared outings and which are for quiet time at the villa. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left, so consider whether you want a driver for the older travelers. Our team can help you sort these details before you book.
Frequently asked questions
Can a villa comfortably hold three generations from one family?
Many of our villas are set up to give each generation a bit of privacy, with room to rest apart and still gather for shared meals. Tell our local team how many people you plan to bring, including any young children or relatives who need extra space, and we will explain which arrangements suit your group before you book.
How should we handle mobility needs for grandparents on the island?
Let us know about any mobility needs when you contact us, since that shapes which villa and layout will work best. Because driving on St. John is on the left and the ferry and taxi steps involve some walking, you may want to arrange transport in advance. Our team can talk through practical options with you directly.
