Getting from Summerfield to St. John

  1. Start with the flight. Most visitors reach St. John by flying into St. Thomas, airport code STT, and then continuing by taxi to Red Hook and taking the passenger ferry across to Cruz Bay. From Summerfield you will likely connect somewhere along the way, so give yourself room in your plans. Keep your travel documents close, and think about what you will want on hand during the transfer.
  2. Choose your season. Summerfield has cold winters, so many travelers from Maryland enjoy the islands most during the cooler months when the weather feels gentle and the crowds can be lighter. Warmer months bring a different rhythm and a bit more rain at times. Think about what kind of trip you want, and let that guide when you leave home. A first visit goes more smoothly when the season suits your comfort.
  3. Plan the stay. Renting a villa at the Westin St John Resort lets you set your own pace, with space to unwind after the trip down. Before you book, decide how many days you want to stay, what you hope to do, and whether you plan to drive. Driving on St. John is on the left, which can take some adjustment. St John Condos can help you weigh these details and match a villa to your plans.
