The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos helps families from Roeville, Florida plan a trip for three generations together, with villa rentals at the Westin St John Resort on St. John that give everyone room to gather and still steal away.
A trip with grandparents, parents, and children asks for more than a single hotel room can offer. Everyone wants shared meals, a place to rest between swims, and enough space that nobody feels crowded. For families leaving Roeville, a villa rented by the week often becomes the simplest way to keep everyone close while leaving room for separate routines. Roeville sits in a warm part of the country, so many of you will already know the rhythm of humid days and sudden afternoon showers. St. John offers a different kind of ease, with calm water and a slower pace. Our team can talk through which villa layout suits your group before you book, so the logistics feel settled long before you pack.

Getting from Roeville to St. John
- Reaching the Caribbean. Most visitors reach St. John by flying into St. Thomas, airport code STT, then continuing on. From the airport, a taxi carries you to Red Hook, where you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay. With a multigenerational group, plan for luggage, car seats, and any mobility needs at each step, and ask us early about the best arrangement.
- Picking your departure window. Think about your family's rhythm before choosing dates. Grandparents may prefer a quieter stretch, while children are often free when school breaks. Talk with the people who will travel with you, consider how the weather tends to shift across the year, and let everyone have a say so the timing fits the whole group rather than only one generation.
- Planning the stay together. Once dates are chosen, decide how your villa days will flow. Set a few shared meals, leave open mornings for those who want rest, and plan one outing that suits all ages. Driving on St. John is on the left, so consider who will handle the wheel. We are happy to help you map this out before you commit to your villa rentals.
Frequently asked questions
Is a villa better than separate rooms for three generations?
For many families, yes. A villa gives grandparents a quiet space, parents a kitchen for easy meals, and children room to move. Everyone can come together for dinner and still retreat to their own corner. Our team can walk you through the layouts so you know what each one offers.
