The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos helps travelers from Gulf Breeze, Florida, plan a week away with friends at the Westin St John Resort, with villas rented by the week and a local team ready to answer questions before you book.

A week with friends on St. John works well when everyone shares the same house, the same plans, and the same long breakfasts on the porch. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort give your group room to spread out while still keeping everyone close. From the Gulf Coast of Florida, the island feels like a different country, and that is part of its appeal for a group that wants a change of scenery. Plan the trip together early so that flights, dinners, and days on the water feel shared rather than negotiated at the last moment. Talk about who wants quiet mornings, who wants to explore, and who simply wants a hammock. A villa gives each person a corner of their own, which makes a full week with friends feel relaxed instead of crowded.

Getting from Gulf Breeze to St. John

  1. Fly into St. Thomas. Most visitors reach St. John by flying to St. Thomas, airport code STT. Coordinate arrivals so your group can share a taxi to Red Hook, then take the passenger ferry across to Cruz Bay. Ask your group to send their flight details to one person, so the taxi and ferry plans line up without extra back and forth on the day you travel.
  2. Pick your week. Choose a week that suits the whole group, keeping in mind that the northern Gulf Coast has cold winters while the islands stay warm year round. Many friends prefer a stretch away from school breaks and holidays so that dates are easier to agree on. Once you settle on a week, put it on everyone's calendar and confirm the rental before schedules shift.
  3. Plan the villa stay. Book your Villa Rentals early and share the layout with your group so each person knows where they will sleep. Decide on a shared budget for groceries and outings before you arrive. Remember that driving on St. John is on the left, so plan to have one or two people comfortable with that. Ask the St John Condos team anything you are unsure about before you book.
