The Westin St John Resort

St John Condos is a local team that answers questions before you book, and they can help a Riverdale Park traveler plan a beach-focused trip to the Westin St John Resort on St. John in the US Virgin Islands, with villa rentals by the week.

If you live in Riverdale Park, Maryland, you already know what a long winter feels like. A trip built around the beach on St. John offers a clear change of scene, with warm water, sand, and a slower pace that many travelers find hard to find closer to home. The island sits in the Caribbean, so the climate stays warm through most of the year, which means your plans can center on the shoreline rather than on what the weather might do. A beach-focused trip is also a chance to think about how you want your days to feel. Some travelers want a villa with room to spread out and a kitchen for quiet mornings, while others prefer to spend most of the day near the water and come back to rest. St John Condos can talk through those preferences with you before you commit, so the villa you choose fits the rhythm you have in mind.

Getting from Riverdale Park to the beach on St. John

  1. Reaching the island. Most visitors from the Riverdale Park area fly into St. Thomas, which uses the airport code STT. From there, a taxi takes you to Red Hook, where you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Driving on the island is on the left side of the road, so take a moment to get comfortable before you head out to the beach.
  2. Choosing when to go. Think about the season that suits your beach plans best. Caribbean weather stays warm across most of the year, so you can aim for a window that avoids the busiest travel stretches and fits your work or school schedule back in Maryland. Share your preferred dates with the St John Condos team and they will help you weigh the options.
  3. Planning your stay. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort are booked by the week, so decide early how long you want to stay near the water. Ask the team about which villa suits your group, what is included, and how to make the most of your days on the sand. Booking with questions answered first helps your beach trip start smoothly.
