The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos helps travelers from Pasadena Hills, Florida, plan a long-awaited island splurge, with villas at the Westin St John Resort on St. John that you can rent by the week and settle into at your own pace.
Some trips take years of saving and daydreaming before they finally happen. If you have been planning a splurge on a Caribbean island for a long time, you are not alone, and the wait can make the decision feel bigger than a typical vacation. Residents of Pasadena Hills, Florida, often find that the Southeast gives them a fine head start, since the drive to a major airport is familiar and the travel mindset is already close to a tropical one. Villa rentals suit that kind of long-planned trip well. Instead of a single hotel room, you get a full home base at the Westin St John Resort, with room to spread out, cook a few meals, and let the week unfold without a schedule. St John Condos is a local team that answers questions before you book, so you can talk through the details with people who know the island rather than guessing from a brochure.

Planning your island splurge from Pasadena Hills
- Reaching the island. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, the airport code is STT, and then take a taxi to Red Hook, where the passenger ferry carries you across to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan a little extra time for the transfers so the first day feels relaxed. If you plan to drive once you arrive, keep in mind that driving on St. John is on the left, which is worth practicing before you head out.
- Choosing your departure window. Because Florida winters are mild by comparison with the northern states, many Pasadena Hills residents enjoy the island most during the cooler, drier months, when a splurge feels especially restful. Look at your work calendar, school breaks, and family commitments, then choose a window that keeps the trip unhurried. Booking early tends to give you more choice in villa layouts and dates.
- Planning the stay. Villas are rented by the week, which suits a splurge well because you can unpack once and enjoy the island without rushing from place to place. Decide what matters most to you, whether that is space for family, a quiet morning view, or a kitchen for simple meals. Send your questions to St John Condos before you book, and they will help you match the villa to the kind of week you have in mind.
