The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos can help travelers from Pace, Florida, plan a winter escape from the cold, with villas at the Westin St John Resort rented by the week. Ask the local team anything before you book.
Winter in the Florida Panhandle is mild compared with much of the country, yet many people in Pace still find themselves longing for a stretch of warm sand and clear water when the season turns gray. A short trip to the Caribbean offers that change of scenery without the bulky coats and icy roads that come with northern winters. Your own home state may feel familiar, but a week on St. John gives you a different rhythm entirely. The island is part of the US Virgin Islands, so the trip feels like a true getaway while still being straightforward for an American traveler. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort let you settle into a private space by the week, with room to slow down, cook a few meals, and simply rest. Planning begins with a few decisions, and the local team at St John Condos is glad to talk them through.

Planning Your Escape From Pace
- Reaching the island. Most visitors from Florida fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT. From there, a taxi takes you to Red Hook, where you board the passenger ferry to Cruz Bay on St. John. Pack light for the ferry, and plan for the short taxi ride from the airport. Once on the island, remember that driving is on the left, which may feel unfamiliar at first.
- Choosing when to go. Many travelers from Pace aim for the stretch of winter when cold weather is at its harshest back home, since the island stays warm through the season. Think about how much sun you want, how busy you hope the island will be, and what fits your schedule. Your own calendar and the needs of your household will shape the best window for you.
- Settling into your stay. Renting a villa by the week gives you a home base with space to unwind after a day outdoors. Consider how many guests are traveling, whether you want a kitchen for simple meals, and how you will spend slow mornings. Bring your questions to the St John Condos team before you book, and they will help you match the villa to your plans.
