Your splurge, step by step from Newberry

  1. Reaching the island. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas (STT) and then take a taxi to Red Hook, where a passenger ferry crosses to Cruz Bay on St. John. Plan for the ferry as part of the adventure, and keep bags light enough to carry comfortably. Once you land on St. John, you will be driving on the left side of the road, so take a moment to adjust before heading out.
  2. Picking your season. Northern travelers often picture winter when they think of an island escape, but a Florida trip allows you to think about the season differently. Islands like St. John have a warm climate through most of the year, so choose the weeks that suit your schedule and tolerance for rain. Talk through your dates with the St John Condos team, who can help you match the timing to what you want from the stay.
  3. Planning the villa stay. Think about what makes the splurge feel worth it: a large living area, a private outdoor space, or a kitchen for slow breakfasts. Villa Rentals at the Westin St John Resort let you build the trip around those priorities. Settle on your favorite spots, pack for relaxed days, and leave room for unplanned afternoons, since the island rewards those who do not overbook.
