The Westin St John Resort
St John Condos can help travelers from Montverde, Florida, plan a warm winter escape to the Westin St John Resort, where villas are rented by the week and the local team answers questions before you book.
Montverde sits in central Florida, where the sunshine is generous but winter can still bring a chill to the evenings. Many families and couples from here look for a change of scenery when the cooler months settle in, and a Caribbean island offers exactly that sort of contrast. The warm water, the open air, and a slower pace can feel like a complete reset. Staying in a villa at the Westin St John Resort gives you room to spread out, cook a meal, and enjoy the island at your own rhythm. Villa Rentals are arranged by the week, so you can settle in rather than rushing from one place to the next. For a Florida household that wants more space than a standard hotel room, that setup often makes the whole trip feel more relaxed.

Planning your escape from Montverde
- Getting to St. John. Most visitors fly into St. Thomas, which has the airport code STT, then take a taxi to Red Hook and catch the passenger ferry across to Cruz Bay. The crossing is a pleasant part of the journey and gives you a first look at the island. Driving on St. John is on the left, so take that into account if you plan to rent a car once you arrive.
- Choosing when to leave. Florida winters are mild by comparison with northern states, but the Virgin Islands still offer a noticeably different climate and a slower season. Think about the weeks you can truly step away from work and home commitments. Once you have a window in mind, the St John Condos team can talk through what suits your group before you commit to dates.
- Planning the stay. Because villas are rented by the week, a longer stay often suits a Florida family better than a short getaway. Consider how many people are traveling, whether you want a kitchen for everyday meals, and how you hope to spend your days. Put these questions to the local team early, so your Villa Rentals match the trip you have in mind.
